Adium is a free instant messaging application for Mac OS X, released under the GNU GPL and developed by the Adium team. With Adium, you can connect to any number of messaging accounts on any combination of supported messaging services and then chat with other people using those services.
Note: We do not host any IM services ourselves. Adium is a third-party client for connecting to services run by other people (mostly companies).

System Requirements ¶
Adium 1.1 and later require Mac OS X 10.4 or greater and an Apple-branded Macintosh computer.
If you're using Mac OS X 10.3.9, you'll want Adium 1.0.6.
If you're using an earlier version of Mac OS X, you'll want Adium X 0.89.1.
Adium X 0.88 and later are Universal applications which run natively on both PowerPC- and Intel-based Macintosh computers.
